BC Forest Service fire fighting coveralls, unit Tee-shirts,hard hat, googles and gloves loaned to the museum for the exhibit by Lieutenant-Colonel D. Cyr, Commanding officer of the British Columbia Dragoons.
Lieutenant-Colonel Cyr commanded Task Force 2 during Op Peregrine fighting fires in the Kelowna area.

The rest of the display case contains photos and remnants of the fire such as a burnt out fire extiunguisher on loan from the Kelowna Museum recovered from a fire destoyed house in Kelowna.

A tired, dirty soldier takes a few minutes out from the exhausting work of fighting fires. The environment in which members of the Canadian Forces fought the fires was extremely demanding of their stamina and endurance.

Kelowna, BC “They are not alone” - Lieutenant-General Rick Hillier, Commander of the Canadian Army answers media questions at Kelowna airport having returned from visiting Op PEREGRINE forces in the field. He reassured the public that the presence of so many Canadian Forces personnel assisting the community in the hour of need was a symbol that they were not alone.
