NAVAL CENTENNIAL
1910-2010

"Heart of Oak" - Naval marchpast

HMCS Niobe 1910

The first century of the Canadian Navy's history will be celebrated in 2009- 2010 with events being planned across Canada. This will be an opportunity to highlight the achievements of the hundreds of thousands of Canadian men and women who have served the navy and Canada so well in the first 100 years.

The Navy has created a Canadian Naval Centennial Working Group (CNCWG) headed by Captain (Navy) John Pickford.

Canadian Naval Centennial Working Group mission: to plan a variety of events, functions and celebrations that showcase the Canadian Navy, and that help to build and strengthen in Canadians everywhere an appreciation for the Navy and its contributions to Canada during a century of service from 1910 to 2010.
